"I've known Amanda and her family for more than 10 years, starting when she was my neighbor at EcoVillage, and then continuing when she moved to Helen’s Way. She is a dedicated community member and understands the issues facing our district, both the West Hill and the South Hill portions. She is committed to listening to all the voices in our community, and is eager to work hard at crafting solutions to the problems the county faces.  I believe she will make a strong, energetic Legislator and that is why I will cast my vote for Amanda in November."

Shawna Black, Candidate for Legislature, District 11
"I have known Amanda since November 2016. We worked together and coordinated resources for the Women's March in Ithaca and the group that went to D.C.
We both decided to run for the legislature within weeks of each other and have collaborated on County issues and campaign information.
Amanda knows her district and is familiar with the issues they will face in the future. She is passionate about the environment and housing affordability. Amanda will be an asset to the legislature and I look forward to working with her in January 2018."

“Amanda has been my neighbor for 14 years here in District 12. I am very excited to have her become our next District 12 legislator. She has lived in Ithaca for nearly her entire adult life, and has been an enthusiastic and successful volunteer for a variety of local community efforts. She is eager to work from an informed viewpoint about the concerns of the community. Because of this, she has already spent hundreds of hours listening to a wide variety of District 12 residents and meeting with local legislators. She is a passionate and thoughtful team player who will keep a focus on what is good for future generations in this community.”

"I’ve known Amanda for more than a decade.  She and I share a love of the natural world and a deep concern for the environment.  My husband and I use solar panels to supply our electrical needs, and we're eager to see the role Amanda will play in further reducing our community's dependence on fossil fuels.  I’m confident that Amanda will apply the same commitment and passion with which she organized the Women’s March in Ithaca to her work as a county legislator!"

"I met Amanda this spring, while she was volunteering on a school community mosaic where students made tiles illustrating their shared values. I found her warm, engaging, and easy to talk to. In talking with her, it was clear to me that she is motivated by a passionate desire to act on values that I hold dear as well, namely: women's rights and equality, social and economic justice, and a fossil-free future. She is knowledgeable about the issues that face Tompkins County, and I trust her to represent me, in the very important and pragmatic sphere of local governance. I whole-heartedly endorse her campaign for the Tompkins County Legislature."
